Dear All,

Our Scout Group is continuing to grow, and it’s wonderful to see so many young people eager to learn new skills, explore the outdoors, and build confidence. To keep offering these opportunities — and to welcome even more children from our waiting list — we rely on a strong team of adult volunteers.

Right now, we urgently need:

  • A Team Leader for Tuesday Beavers
  • A Team Leader for Wednesday Scouts
  • Team Members for Friday Scouts

We must fill both Team Leader roles before the end of this year.


If we cannot find volunteers in time, we will face real challenges running these sections safely and consistently — and this could mean reduced places or disruptions for the young people who attend. Your support is genuinely crucial.

For all the roles, you don’t need any prior Scouting experience — just enthusiasm, kindness, and a willingness to get involved. Full training and support are provided, and you’ll be joining a friendly, welcoming team.

By volunteering, you help young people:

  • build confidence and resilience
  • learn practical skills for life
  • enjoy the outdoors
  • make lasting friendships
  • create lifelong memories

Even a small amount of your time each week can have a huge impact. Many volunteers find they gain just as much themselves — new skills, new friends, and the rewarding feeling of making a difference.

Squirrels Update

And we also have exciting news: we are preparing to ideally launch our very first Squirrel Drey in the new year! We already have three fantastic volunteers who have stepped forward, but ideally we need at least one more person to open the section safely and offer places to the many enthusiastic children waiting to join (over 20 kids of Squirrel age are on our waiting list).

For all of our current Leaders, Trustees and Parents, thank you for your continued support — together we can keep offering amazing opportunities for every young person who wants to join.
